I am currently offering weekly zoom classes by donation. I also run longer ad-hoc workshops. No prior experience or special equipment is required and I do my best to make the classes accessible to all bodies. You may find it useful to dress in comfortable clothing, bring a cushion to sit on and to have a soft surface beneath you.
Please email contact me with your email address to receive zoom links and be kept up to date with workshops and weekly classes. If you have any questions, concerns or body quirks you would like to discuss, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
WIND DOWN: Fridays 5.30-6.30pm.
This class combines slow stretching to unravel tension in the body, breathing techniques to soothe the nervous system and relaxation to find rest and stillness. My aim is to help you slow down, let go of the week that’s gone and relax into the weekend ahead.
Pay it forward
Often these practices are hardest to access when we need them most. Therefore, classes are offered on a pay-it-forward model, meaning you are invited to donate the cost of your class (£3-10) to a charity that offers yoga and meditation classes regardless of background or financial situation.
My suggested charity is Dhanakosa retreat centre. This is a magical place that holds a special place in my heart. It offers a variety of healing practices and relies entirely on donations. Like many, the centre has been hard-hit by the pandemic and in a post-lockdown, we will need places like this more than ever, so please give generously 😊 If you’re strapped for cash you can also pay-it-forward by performing a random act of kindness.
In these classes, I hope to build body awareness, mental clarity and healthy nervous system regulation. Increased flexibility and strength may be happy by-products of this approach, but they are not the main focus. If you are looking for a workout or to achieve specific postures, this may not be the class for you. Read more about my approach and training here
See you on the mat!
